INTERIOR EXTENSION – OUR BRAND NEW ROOFTOP PIAZZA
Customers at Eastgate Shopping Centre are discovering a whole new world of shopping and entertainment. The exciting open air piazza – featuring a sun-kissed fast food court and five elegant fine dining restaurants – was officially opened on the 22 September 2009, together with a brand new Entrance 9.
This launch marks the end of the final leg of Phase 1 of the massive extension programme that began in March 2008, costing in excess of R600 million.
London Pie; Sausage Saloon; Real O Kilo; Anat; McDonalds; Nando’s; KFC; Steers; Debonairs; Teriyaki Experience; Global Wrapps and Boesmanland Biltong can be found at this delightful destination.
The following fine dining restaurants can also be found on the rooftop piazza: Smith and Wollensky; Mantovani’s; Primi Piatti; Cape Town Fish Market and Piatto.
So go on... tantalize your taste buds and visit Eastgate’s new piazza and fast food court, on the roof level.
DIRECTIONS TO THE PIAZZA
Getting there is easy!! If you’re at the old food court and are wondering where our delectable array of eateries have disappeared to, just take the escalators or the lifts to the rooftop level, and there you’ll find them. There’s also plenty of signage along the way to help you.
A WIDE NEW WELCOME
The new Entrance 5 has a large revolving glass door. Welcoming shoppers at this impressive Entrance are Milky Lane; Maxi’s; Ackermans and BT Games. You can also expect to see the McDonalds Ice Cream Kiosk and Baglios coming soon.
In addition to these enhancements, shoppers now have access to modern restrooms, larger and faster hi-tech lifts and new escalators.

FIND OUT WHAT'S HAPPENING AT ENTRANCE 1
As we progress towards a larger and more extravagant Entrance 1 and brand new multi level parkade, kindly note that as of February 2009, Entrance 1 closed. Great progress is being made with the new parkade and Entrance, which will be ready for use by mid 2010.
In the meantime, feel free to access our fabulous shopping centre via Entrance 2.
